Although some members of the working world have the choice of what to wear to work each day, many other people with professional jobs are required to wear uniforms every day to work. A medical uniform is very common in many different areas of the medical industry. Doctors frequently wear long white coats over shirts and ties, for men, or over skirts or dresses for women. Scrubs are comprised of a simple top and pair of pants that are loosely fitted, easy to move around in, and made of lightweight cotton. Scrubs come in many different colors and patterns, but they are typically unisex scrubs in that they are not cut for a man versus a woman.
There are lots of companies online that specialize in selling scrubs. Individuals that wear scrubs often have many different pairs to reflect a particular mood, time of year, or holiday. For example, scrubs can be worn in the winter that feature snowmen and other snow-themed things printed onto them.
Other professionals besides nurses often wear nurse scrubs to work. Dentists, dental assistants, and even veterinarians commonly wear scrubs to work as they are comfortable, easy to clean, and not expensive to replace.
